Three ADPR Master Students Defend Capstone Projects
Congratulations to our three students from the School of Advertising & Public Relations who graduated in December with their Master of Communication and Information degree.
Robert Lambert, Chima Onunka, and Kelsey Robinson successfully defended a Master-level capstone project as part of the Master of Communication & Information degree.
Robert Lambert (public relations concentration), conducted a cross-cultural study analyzing health-orientated messages in public relations. His study evaluated HIV/AIDS messages from the CDC and Centre for Health Protection in Hong Kong. Andrew Anglin featured in American Academy of Advertising Newsletter

Andrew Anglin, doctoral student in Advertising and Public Relations (ADPR) was featured in the American Academy of Advertising (AAA) Newsletter this month.
Anglin who is a second year doctoral student worked for The Walt Disney Company before coming to The University of Tennessee.

About textile artist Daren Redman
Daren Redman is a textile artist specializing in 2D and 3D art for the home and commercial spaces. She graduated from The College of Communication and Information, School of Journalism in 1992.
Redman returned to the University of Tennessee College of Communication and Information on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. She presented her work she has been producing over the last 10 years. Throughout her career she has written press releases, captions, etc. about her own artwork by applying her PR degree. Karen Maier Scholarship- A Second Chance for Esther Kim
CCI Alumnus Karen Maier (BS/JEM ’74), recently retired as vice president of marketing and board of director’s member with Frisch’s Big Boy Restaurants in Cincinnati. Maier received the UT Accomplished Alumni Award on Sept. 24, 2015 from CCI Dean Mike Wirth.
Maier has established a scholarship to provide support to non-traditional female students who have financial need. This year, advertising student Esther Kim, was recognized as the 2016 recipient.

Top CCI Graduate 2015, Jessica Karsten
Congratulations to all of our Fall 2015 graduates. We wish you all of the best! We had the privilege to interview CCI’s Top graduate, Jessica Karsten on her time spent in the Advertising and Public Relations program. Erin Hauck, Adv ’07, was recently selected to be one of the first inductees into Cynopsis Media’s inaugural “Top Women in Digital” Awards.
