UTK Public Relations in Siena, Italy

May 29th – July 4th, 2020 (1st Summer term)

Application deadline:

November 14th, 2019

Students will have a chance to study International and intercultural Communication or Public Relation cases in Italy. Students will have a better understanding of Italy through cultural activities such as going on day trips to Florence, Orvieto and San Gimignano. As well as, participating in activities in Siena such as guided tours of the statue of David, the Colosseum and Roman Forum, and the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.  Also, going on a tour of the Medici Chapel and a group lunch.

Each course is 3 UT credits.

Study in Rome, Italy

May 8th – May 27th 2020 (Mini-term)

Application Deadline:

November 14th, 2019

Students will have organized class time during the day and will have plenty of time in the afternoon to explore Rome, Italy. Students will have guided tours, participate in a cooking class, and visiting a local advertising agency. “The program encourages students to develop an informed perspective on the role of advertising in our society and, in turn, the influence of society on the practice of advertising. Emphasis will be placed on encouraging student discourse–both verbally and in writing.”

CCI Global Communication Scholars Semester in Syndey, Australia

A semester program for the Spring of 2020 and students earn 13 hours of credit including a UT course on intercultural communication – a course taught at the University of Sydney on the history and culture of Australia, and an 8-week internship in Sydney. Sydney is built around one of the world’s most beautiful harbors, and the white-sailed Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge and more importantly, Sydney has emerged as a major cultural melting pot.

Even though the Spring 2020 application deadline has passed, be ready for the Spring of 2021.
