Katie Kim
Assistant Professor
Katie Kim is an assistant professor at the Tombras School of Advertising and Public Relations. She earned her PhD from the Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota, and completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees in communication at Seoul National University.
Before pursuing her graduate studies, she worked as a public relations manager at the headquarters of Hyundai and Kia Motors Group, a leading multinational automotive company. Kim’s research focuses on understanding corporate social responsibility and irresponsibility from an internal communication perspective, emphasizing the crucial role of internal communication culture and employees as co-creators.
She employs both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and her work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Public Relations Research, Public Relations Review, and others.
