Jeannette Iannacone
Assistant Professor
Jeannette Iannacone is an assistant professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Tombras School of Advertising and Public Relations. She received her PhD in Communication from the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD) in 2023 and holds an Master of Arts in Communication (UMD, 2020) and in International Relations (University of St Andrews, 2015). Her research advances theories of transnationalism and global communication, notably through special attention to cases of migration, to further understand and promote inclusive communication strategies that take into account marginalized publics. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed outlets like Public Relations Review, Journal of Contemporary Ethnography, and Communication Teacher as well as has been featured in volumes like Public Relations Theory III. Her research has also been funded by the Arthur W. Page Legacy Scholar grants (2023).
