An award-winning brand storyteller, Brian Canever has spent the past decade writing about American cage fighters, Oscar-nominated filmmakers, immigrant soccer players, and hundreds of international sports, business, nonprofit, and higher education leaders.

He has served as a brand writer and public relations specialist for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and digital content manager for the UT Center for Sport, Peace, and Society. Currently, Canever is the content marketing manager for the Global Supply Chain Institute, an international hub for supply chain thought leadership and talent development.

His freelance writing portfolio includes bylines for local, national, and international media. Canever co-founded, co-hosts, and writes for the Knox Soccer Podcast. He writes and publishes essays through Substack.

Canever has served as a lecturer in the College of Communication and Information since 2017, teaching sports reporting, multimedia writing, and public relations writing.
