Vols Remote Internship Program
UT’s New York City Alumni Chapter quickly organized a virtual internship program when COVID-19 interrupted students’ summer internship plans. The VOLs Remote Internship pilot program paired five interns from CCI with social media and digital communication roles at nonprofit organizations dedicated to education. The new summer program was open to rising seniors and recent graduates with particular emphasis on recruiting first-generation college students and students from low-income communities. Interns were each paired with young CCI alumni already working in communications and digital media, and they learned how to create social media content in the voices of their organizations and gained experience using digital collaboration and social media management tools.
MAIP Program
MAIP fellows are hand-selected by industry professionals to begin their careers in advertising. Once selected, fellows engage in a 22-week, nationwide fellowship that is both virtual and in-agency. In addition to the fellowship, fellows receive professional development opportunities through virtual spring training, one-on-one coaching, MAIP labs, and various opportunities to network with MAIP alumni and industry leaders. The goal is to provide fellows with the space and opportunity to build a foundation for their careers.
