Advertising faculty and students gear up to travel next week to New York City. These lucky advertising students will be spending the week exploring NYC, and meeting with major agencies.
In fact, a few students can even gain an internship at Young & Rubicam for summer.
In hopes of donations, the Advertising Club submitted a video to raise money for their annual trip. After raising over $2,000, the trip is well on it’s way to being completely funded.
We can thank VOLstarter, a new form of “Crowdfunding” for the success. At first the idea of numerous campaigns asking for donations to fund projects at the same time seemed unrealistic. However, UT’s VOLstarter has exceeded all expectations.
The exciting idea offers a way for students and departments to raise money for various projects. From providing funds for students to attend trips- to supporting a group that improves the homes of needy families. VOLstarter links donors with opportunities to support specific projects and initiatives.
Organizations are encouraged to make a video, or share a personal testimony as to why they would appreciate the funding.
